Tablet computers skyrocketed in 2011

Accenture pollsters predict that consumer spending on mobile phone (excluding smartphones) will drop to 39 percent. Meanwhile, the PC (personal computer) fell 56 percent in 2011 compared to 2010.
On the contrary, the purchasing power of consumers to TV 3D technology will actually soar to 500 percent, followed by tablet computers predicted to grow 160 percent. Furthermore, e-book reader devices rose about 133 percent, and smartphones by 26 percent.
Just to note, Accenture conducted an annual survey focuses on the use of expenditure as well as a user when they are confronted with 19 different electronic consumer technology.
According to the survey, 17 percent of respondents plan to buy a PC (including desktop and laptop) this year. The number was down 39 percent compared to last year. In addition, the respondents would use more than one device such as tablet PCs to accompany the traditional PC.
For example, at least every week, about 40 percent of respondents send an e-mail from a tablet PC. In addition to checking e-mail, respondents are also using a tablet PC to browse the Web, watching videos, reading electronic books, newspapers, and magazines.
